Volotea Pet Policy 2024

Does Volotea allow cats & dogs to fly in the cabin?

Dogs and cats in the cabin are accepted by Volotea in their travel bag, up to a combined weight of 10kg. The pet in cabin service only applies to cats and dogs.

In addition to the standard EU regulations for pet travel in Europe, you must also adhere to the following:

  • Pet cats and dogs must be carried breathable bag, not a hard container
  • The pet carrier may be no bigger than 50 x 40 x 20 cm
  • Both your pet and the bag together must weigh 10kg or less
  • Your cat or dog must be able to stand upright in the bag
  • Pets must also be able to turn around and lie in a natural position
  • Only one cat or dog is allowed per bag and per person

There is a one pet per passengers rule and only two pets can fly in the cabin on each Volotea flight.

Of course, you can’t fly to the United Kingdom with a pet in the cabin due to regulations, but unfortunately, Volotea doesn’t allow cats or dogs to travel in the cabin on flights from the UK either. However, there are other airlines that offer this option if you’re flying from Scotland, England, Wales or Northern Ireland.
